SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Tuesday:  Feeder cattle were unevenly steady. 
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 144.00-155.00, 500-600 
lbs 135.00-147.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 135.00-
151.00; 500-600 lbs 130.00-142.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 125.00-141.00; 500-600 lbs 119.00-133.00.  Slaughter cows 
were steady.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 55.00-65.00; Boners 
80-85% lean 58.00-74.00; Lean 85-90% lean 55.00-64.00; Lean Low Dressing 
40.00-56.00.  Slaughter bulls were steady.  Slaughter bulls: 1010-2025 
lbs 64.00-98.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 1085-1265 lbs young to middle age 
cows with 200-350 lbs calves 880.00-1175.00 per pair. Small to Medium 1-2 
625-1015 lbs young to middle age cows with 160-410 lbs calves 750.00-
1150.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.99 higher at 48.77.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 40.07; 450-500 lbs 44.56; 500-550 lbs 
47.09.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 3 cents lower; elevator bids 3.98-
4.24, processor bids 4.39-4.79. Soybeans were 18 to 19 cents lower; 
elevator bids 9.24-9.85, processor bid 10.10, and export at 10.10. New 
Crop wheat was mixed; 3 cents lower to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 4.54-
4.69.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.59 
higher at 84.85.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
